The seven wonders of the world and the arrogant prince ..

Once upon a time in a kingdom far away from our  lived a prince. He loved two things in his life, reading and his country. In one of the many books, he had read about the seven wonders of the ancient world. He thought a lot and decided to build a building and which could be  so glamorous and big that will surpass in beauty and grandeur and the seven wonders of the world together and made the country to go down in history.
He invited sculptors, architects, masons and marblemen, the best in all over the world. They worked all day and night to make a good plan, anything satisfied our prince. Something was missing. A small detail that would make the creation of a separate.
And then while he was siiting and thinking about it, appeared in front of him  palace's magician.
'My Lord' he said 'I know how you will find a solution to your problem. You have to drink this potion and go travel back ito the past to see each <miracle> from close. But attention  my lord, never Boasting  that you will make something better than what you'll see cause you will immediately turn back and craftsmen despite the instructions that you give them will never make something beautiful. '
The prince was delighted, and drank a little of the magic potion.
Suddenly the palace disappeared and appeared in front of a desert and looked away from a building as it rises in the sky, the top of the increasingly narrowed. Walked there and then admired the Pyramid of Giza. It was huge and so beautiful. He feared because he felt very small. The prince was speechless. There were workers in front of him and continued to work without bothering to grow more this building. When he asked someone why they madeit , he replied that the pyramid will become the tomb of Pharaoh Heops.
The prince  drank a little more of the magic potion.
As befor,e the desert  lost and in  front of him appeared a beautiful garden. But This garden  was very weird. Had all kinds of plants and animals.Ponds and fountains and tall walls that they were covered with flowers that looked like waterfalls overflowing from the stone barriers. So green, so many flavors, so many mixed colors, so different chirping. The speech of our prince had lost. With difficulty he asked a passerby why they had made. Then he told him Gardens was a gift to the wife of Nebuchadnezzar himself, because she missed the wooded hills of her homeland, and wanted to feed with plants, which existed in her country but not in Babylon.
The prince  drank a little more of the magic potion.
The lovely gardens disappeared and the place transformed into a huge temple. The prince walked in and  suddenly saw in front of  him a gold and ivory statue depicting the god Zeus. With his right hand the god holding a thunderbolt, while perching  in his feet  his favorite  eagle. This statue was over 10 meters tall. Next to the statue sat an old man hunched and admired. When asked why the prince  built this statue the old man replied: I made it to make a gift in ancient Olympia. Every four years athletes gather here from all over Greece and struggling. I made it for them, to  pray before every match and take power.
The prince  drank a little more of the magic potion.
The magnificent statue disappeared and appeared in front of a beautiful church with three floors and hundreds if not thousands of statues and representations on the walls. The sun shimmered on the roof of the temple and the prince thought that it was the first time thah he edunderstand how beautiful is the sun. Approached closer to this majestic building and read a sign that said: We here at Ephesus love goddess Artemis about it and here we dedicate this temple to the sun close to the splendor of the sun Olympus.
The prince  drank a little more of the magic potion.
The sunny temple disappeared from the front of him and found himself at a crossroads in the center of a large city. He lifted up his eyes and then he saw a bright white as snow building stood till the sky. He had a solid base and stood on top of a small temple with statues gets bright white. Next to our prince stood a woman. Not talked, talked it and said: I am the queen Artemisia and I make this tomb for my husband Mausolus who died suddenly to honor him.
The prince  drank a little more of the magic potion.
The white mausoleum got lost from the sight of our prince and appeared in front of him  a bronze statue with both feet together and erect. It was located in the port of a  city. This giant statue in his hand had a torch and wearing a crown on his head. The prince looked a long time not being able to believe the beauty of this statue. Ask a kid playing beside him why was this statue. 'But you do not know;; The Colossus is the Sun god and  Harry from Lindos made it  because God saved Rhodes from Demetrius the Conqueror. '
The prince  drank the last drops of his magic potion.
The colossal statue disappeared and the place took a strange huge building. It had four levels. The lowest was a square base, the second was a square building, the octagonal building the third level and the fourth highest was  a circular structure on top of which was a statue. In the fourth level there was a mirror that reflected the sunlight. A fisherman was nearby and he repaired his nets. The prince asked him for this building. 'This is our lighthouse. The evening up there on the fourth floor burns a great fire to see the ships the way to Alexandria.
'Do you know, old fisherman today my eyes how many beautiful buildings and statues saw and dazzled, but my country is the most beautiful thing I know and now I know how to fix the building and I will be better than all the ones I saw today said Prince proudly forgetting the magician's words. The fisherman just smiled and then everything disappeared.
The prince realized his mistake. He had behaved arrogantly forgetting the respect that should be shown in the seven wonders and the effort of so many people who labored to build them.
For many years after trying to fix something  so special, but always something  was missing. So he stopped trying and started telling this strange day that he lived in his children ... and his children to their own children and so came the story to my ears.and if they lied to me..I lie to you too ...
